ASTM A453 Gr 660 Stud bolt also known as 1.4980 , X6NiCrTiMoVB25-15-2 or UNSS66286 ,which is an iron-nickel-chromium alloy.

ASTM A453 Grade 660 – Specification

Heat resistant steel with high strength, creep resistance, low magnetic permeability and high oxidation resistance. Endurance properties are obtained by emitting MC, M6C carbides by means of nickel, titanium and aluminum.

It retains the appropriate mechanical properties to a temperature of about 650 – 700 ℃. In addition, it exhibits suitable strength properties at extremely low temperatures. Heat resistant to a temperature of about 800 – 900 ℃.

Used as a steel for aviation and power engineering for heavy-duty rotors, gas turbine blades, steam turbines, pressure equipment parts and reactors, jet engines and rockets, exhaust systems. Also used in cryogenics and cryotechnics.

Threads may be performed by machining or rolling. For Type 1 bolting, threading shall be performed after precipitation
heat treatment. Types M1 and M2 bolting shall have machine cut threads. For Types 2 R1 and R2, bolting shall have rolled threads.
Types R1 and M1 bolting, threading shall be performed after precipitation heat treatment. Types R2 and M2 bolting shall be
threaded after solution heat treatment but prior to precipitation heat treatment

Type R2—threads formed by rolling after solution anneal but prior to precipitation heat treatment. When not specified by the purchaser, the type supplied shall be the option of the manufacturer
