ASTM B425 Incoloy 825 stud bolts are high-performance fasteners manufactured from a nickel-iron-chromium alloy. Designed to withstand demanding environments, these stud bolts offer excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and exceptional durability, making them ideal for use in industries such as chemical processing, marine engineering, and oil & gas.
N08825 is a nickel-iron-chromium alloy, commonly known as Incoloy 825. It is specifically designed for use in highly corrosive environments, offering excellent resistance to oxidation, pitting, and stress corrosion cracking. This alloy is particularly valued for its performance in both oxidizing and reducing environments due to the following key components:
- Nickel (38-46%): Provides corrosion resistance and enhances strength in reducing environments.
- Chromium (19.5-23.5%): Contributes to oxidation resistance.
- Molybdenum (2.5-3.5%): Enhances pitting and crevice corrosion resistance.
- Copper (1.5-3%): Increases resistance to sulfuric and phosphoric acids.

Incoloy 825 Stud Bolts Advantage
- Corrosion Resistance: Incoloy 825 provides outstanding resistance to general corrosion, pitting, and crevice corrosion in both oxidizing and reducing environments.
- High-Temperature Strength: With excellent thermal stability, these stud bolts perform reliably at elevated temperatures.
- Stress Corrosion Cracking Resistance: Ideal for environments where chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking is a concern.
- Versatility: Suitable for diverse applications including sour gas environments, seawater systems, and acidic solutions.
ASTM B425 ensures quality and performance consistency for Incoloy 825 stud bolts. Compliance with this specification guarantees that the material meets stringent industry requirements for chemical composition, mechanical properties, and dimensional accuracy.
This specification covers nickel-iron-chromiummolybdenum-copper alloy (UNS N08825 and UNS N08221)* in the form of hot-finished and cold-drawn rounds, squares, hexagons, and rectangles. The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as the standard. The values given in parentheses are for information only.
N08825 Heat Treatment
Incoloy 825 is stabilise annealed at 940°C. The softest structure is obtained at 980°C. Sections heavier than sheet, strip and wire should be quenched to avoid sensitisation.
